UPCOMING PRESENTATIONS & EVENTS

May 21, 5:30pm, Rome Historical Society will be hosting (via video  uplink) an educational presentation on Marquis de Lafayette by the  National President of the American Friends of Lafayette himself, Alan Hoffman!  His presentation “Lafayette in America 1777 to 1781 and 1824 to 1825”  will teach audiences both the details of his service to our nation in  the Revolution, and what his return tour looked like, when he returned  decades later to travel the United States as a celebrated hero. 


May 31st at  - Oneida County Pride Alliance - Pride Flag Raising 


June 9 Lafayette day:


4:30 p.m.     Events kick off at the unveiling of a Pomroy Foundation Lafayette Trail Historic Marker in front of one of the oldest buildings in Rome, New York,  the Arsenal House, 514 Dominick Street


5:30 p.m.     An interactive indoor presentation by Lafayette "himself" from the American Friends of Lafayette at the nearby Rome Historical Society, 200 Church Street, Rome, New York


6:15 p.m.     The evening will conclude with a walking tour to Rome's Tomb of the Unknown Revolutionary War Soldiers. 


6:45 p.m.  The walking tour continues to Fort Stanwix National Monument


7:00 p.m.     Soiree at Arsenal House.  Advance registration required for this event.  Please visit lafayette200.org for details


June 28th, 2PM - Oneida County Pride Alliance presents a reception and documentary honoring the anniversary of Stonewall.
